Jane A. Slider first came to the firm as legal secretary to then senior partner, John M. Barr, in 1978. Jane eventually moved into the position of Office Manager for The Firm and now divides her time between Office Manager duties in this very busy law office and legal assistant to the Firm’s attorneys. She is also the firm’s computer system administrator and Bookkeeper. Jane was born in northern Michigan and grew up in Houghton Lake. She moved to the Ann Arbor area to attend the University of Michigan Nursing School where she met and married husband, Mike. They have two children, both of whom reside in the area. They have eight grandchildren and three greatgrand children. She obtained her Certified Professional Legal Secretary degree in 1983 and, during her career, has continued to attend seminars and take various classes to stay abreast of the many changes occurring in the legal field. Outside of the office she is active in her church, singing in the choir and serving on various committees, is an officer of the Ypsilanti Youth Theatre serving as Secretary/Treasurer, and a member of NALS of Michigan. She enjoys gardening, camping, boating, reading and horse back riding.
